The late-1990s KLE 500 was a 498 cc four-valve parallel twin with a steel-tube frame, as described in the page's article text. It kept the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel set-up and the air-assisted 41mm forks of the earlier KLE 500 range. It remained a large dual-purpose bike aimed at off-road and road riding.
